Impact winter where to find the nail. Maybe The Flame in the Flood will do. Overview. Himself has not yet reached her. Best early game spots

Unfortunately, there are flaws in games: brakes, low FPS, crashes, freezes, bugs and other minor and not so much errors. Often, problems begin even before the start of the game, when it is not installed, downloaded or even downloaded. And the computer itself sometimes freaks out, and then in Impact Winter, instead of a picture, a black screen, controls do not work, sound is not heard or anything else.

What to do first

  1. Download and run the world famous CCleaner(download by direct link) is a program that cleans your computer of unnecessary garbage, as a result of which the system will work faster after the first reboot;
  2. Update all drivers in the system using the program Driver Updater (download by direct link) - it will scan your computer and update all drivers to the latest version in 5 minutes;
  3. Install Advanced System Optimizer(download by direct link) and enable Game Mode in it, which will terminate useless background processes during the launch of games and increase the performance in the game.

The second thing to do if you have any problems with Impact Winter is to check the system requirements. In an amicable way, you need to do this even before buying, so as not to regret the money spent.

Impact Winter minimum system requirements:

Win Xp 32, Intel Pentium 4 1.8GHz, 1 GB RAM, 500 MB HDD, AMD Radeon X600 Series

Every gamer should at least understand a little about the components, know why a video card, processor and other things in the system unit are needed.

Files, drivers and libraries

Almost every device in a computer requires a set of special software. These are drivers, libraries and other files that ensure the correct operation of the computer.

It's worth starting with the drivers for the video card. Modern graphics cards are made by only two major companies - Nvidia and AMD. Having found out which product is spinning the coolers in the system unit, we go to the official website and download the package of fresh drivers:

A prerequisite for the successful functioning of Impact Winter is the availability of the latest drivers for all devices in the system. Download the utility Driver Updater to download quickly and easily latest versions drivers and install them with one click:

If Impact Winter does not start, we recommend that you try to disable your antivirus or put the game in antivirus exceptions, and check the compliance again system requirements and if something from your assembly does not match, then, if possible, improve your PC by purchasing more powerful components.

Impact Winter has black screen, white screen, color screen. Solution

Screen problems different colors can be roughly divided into 2 categories.

First, they are often associated with the use of two video cards at once. For example, if your motherboard has a built-in video card, but you play on a discrete one, then Impact Winter can be launched for the first time on the built-in one, and you will not see the game itself, because the monitor is connected to a discrete video card.

Secondly, color screens are used when there are problems with displaying images on the screen. This can happen for a variety of reasons. For example, Impact Winter cannot work through an outdated driver or does not support a video card. Also, a black / white screen may appear when running at resolutions that are not supported by the game.

Impact Winter crashes. At a certain or random moment. Solution

You play for yourself, play and then - bam! - everything goes out, and now you have a desktop in front of you without any hint of a game. Why is this happening? To solve the problem, it is worth trying to figure out what kind of problem the problem is.

If the crash occurs at a random moment in time without any regularity, then with a probability of 99% we can say that this is a mistake of the game itself. In such a case, fixing something is very difficult, and the best thing is to just put Impact Winter aside and wait for the patch.

However, if you know exactly at what moments the crash occurs, then you can continue the game, avoiding situations that provoke a failure.

However, if you know exactly at what moments the crash occurs, then you can continue the game, avoiding situations that provoke a failure. Alternatively, you can download an Impact Winter save and bypass the departure location.

Impact Winter freezes. The picture freezes. Solution

The situation is about the same as with crashes: many freezes are directly related to the game itself, or rather to a developer's error when creating it. However, often a frozen picture can become a starting point for investigating the deplorable state of a video card or processor.

So if the picture freezes in Impact Winter, then use the programs to display statistics on the loading of components. Perhaps your video card has already exhausted its working resource a long time ago, or is the processor warming up to dangerous temperatures?

The easiest way to check the load and temperatures for the graphics card and processors is in MSI Afterburner. If you want, you can even display these and many other parameters over the Impact Winter image.

What temperatures are dangerous? Processors and graphics cards have different operating temperatures. For video cards, they are usually 60-80 degrees Celsius. Processors have a little lower - 40-70 degrees. If the processor temperature is higher, then you should check the state of the thermal paste. It may have dried out already and needs to be replaced.

If the video card is warming up, then you should use the driver or the official utility from the manufacturer. It is necessary to increase the number of revolutions of the coolers and check if the operating temperature drops.

Impact Winter crashes. Low FPS. Frame rate drawdowns. Solution

With lags and low frame rates in Impact Winter, the first step is to lower the graphics settings. Of course, there are many of them, so before lowering everything in a row, it is worth finding out exactly how certain settings affect performance.

Screen resolution... In short, this is the number of points from which the picture of the game is formed. The higher the resolution, the higher the load on the video card. However, the increase in load is insignificant, so you should only lower the screen resolution as a last resort, when everything else no longer helps.

Texture quality... Typically, this parameter determines the resolution of the texture files. The texture quality should be reduced if the video card has a small amount of video memory (less than 4 GB) or if a very old hard disk is used with a spindle speed lower than 7200.

Model quality(sometimes just detailing). This setting determines which set of 3D models will be used in the game. The higher the quality, the more polygons. Accordingly, high-poly models require more processing power of the video card (not to be confused with the amount of video memory!), Which means that this parameter should be reduced on video cards with a low core or memory frequency.

Shadows... They are implemented in different ways. In some games, shadows are created dynamically, that is, they are rendered in real time every second of the game. Such dynamic shadows load both the processor and the video card. For optimization purposes, developers often abandon full-fledged rendering and add pre-rendered shadows to the game. They are static, because in fact they are just textures overlaid on top of the main textures, which means they load memory, and not the core of the video card.

Often, developers add additional settings related to shadows:

  • Shadow Resolution - Determines how detailed the shadow cast by the object will be. If there are dynamic shadows in the game, it loads the video card core, and if a previously created render is used, it "eats" the video memory.
  • Soft Shadows - smoothing out unevenness on the shadows themselves, usually this option is given together with dynamic shadows. Regardless of the type of shadows, it loads the video card in real time.

Smoothing... It allows you to get rid of ugly corners at the edges of objects by using a special algorithm, the essence of which is usually to generate several images at once and compare them, calculating the "smoothest" picture. There are many different anti-aliasing algorithms, which differ in the level of impact on the performance of Impact Winter.

For example, MSAA works head-on, creating 2, 4 or 8 renders at once, so the frame rate is reduced by 2, 4 or 8 times, respectively. Algorithms such as FXAA and TAA operate a little differently, achieving a smoother image by calculating only the edges and using some other tweaks. As a result, they do not degrade performance as much.

Lighting... As with anti-aliasing, there are different algorithms for lighting effects: SSAO, HBAO, HDAO. They all use the resources of the video card, but they do it differently depending on the video card itself. The fact is that the HBAO algorithm was promoted mainly on video cards from Nvidia (GeForce line), so it works best on "green" ones. HDAO, on the other hand, is optimized for AMD video cards. SSAO is the most basic type of lighting, it consumes the least resources, so in case of brakes in Impact Winter it is worth switching it.

What to reduce first? Usually, the greatest load cause shadows, anti-aliasing and lighting effects, so it's best to start with these.

Often, gamers themselves have to do the optimization of Impact Winter. For almost all major releases, there are various relevant forums and forums where users share their ways to improve productivity.

One of them is a special program called Advanced System Optimizer. It is made especially for those who do not want to manually clean up the computer from various temporary files, delete unnecessary registry entries and edit the startup list. Advanced System Optimizer will do this on its own, and will also analyze your computer to identify how you can improve performance in applications and games.

Impact Winter lags. Big game lag. Solution

Many people confuse "brakes" with "lags", but these problems have completely different reasons. Impact Winter slows down when the frame rate at which the picture is displayed on the monitor drops, and lags when the latency when accessing the server or any other host is too high.

That is why "lags" can only be in network games. The reasons are different: bad network code, physical distance from servers, network congestion, incorrectly configured router, low speed of the Internet connection.

However, the latter happens less often. In online games, communication between the client and the server takes place through the exchange of relatively short messages, so even 10 MB per second should be enough for the eyes.

There is no sound in Impact Winter. I can not hear anything. Solution

Impact Winter works, but somehow it doesn't sound - this is another problem that gamers face. Of course, you can play this way, but it's still better to figure out what the matter is.

The first step is to determine the scale of the problem. Where exactly is there no sound - only in the game or in general on the computer? If only in the game, then perhaps this is due to the fact that the sound card is very old and does not support DirectX.

If there is no sound at all, then the matter is unambiguously in setting up the computer. Perhaps the sound card drivers are installed incorrectly, or maybe there is no sound due to some specific error of our beloved Windows OS.

Controls not working in Impact Winter. Impact Winter cannot see my mouse, keyboard, or gamepad. Solution

How to play if it is impossible to control the process? Support problems for specific devices are irrelevant here, because it comes about familiar devices - keyboard, mouse and controller.

Thus, errors in the game itself are practically excluded, almost always the problem is on the user's side. You can solve it in different ways, but, one way or another, you will have to contact the driver. Usually, when connecting a new device, the operating system immediately tries to use one of the standard drivers, but some models of keyboards, mice, and gamepads are not compatible with them.

Thus, you need to find out the exact model of the device and try to find exactly its driver. Often, devices from well-known gaming brands come with their own software kits, since the standard Windows driver trite can not ensure the correct operation of all functions of a particular device.

If you don't want to look for drivers for all devices separately, then you can use the program Driver Updater... It is designed to automatically search for drivers, so you just need to wait for the scan results and load the necessary drivers in the program interface.

It is not uncommon for the brakes in Impact Winter to be caused by viruses. In this case, it makes no difference how powerful the video card is in the system unit. You can check your computer and clean it of viruses and other unwanted software using special programs. For example NOD32. The antivirus has proven itself to be the best and has received the approval of millions of users around the world.

ZoneAlarm is suitable for both personal use and small business, is able to protect a computer running Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP from any attacks: phishing, viruses, malware, spyware and other cyber threats ... New users receive a 30-day free trial.

Nod32 is an anti-virus from ESET, which has received many awards for its contribution to the development of security. On the developer's website, versions of antivirus programs are available for both PC and mobile devices, a 30-day trial is provided. There are special conditions for business.

Impact Winter downloaded from torrent does not work. Solution

If the distribution kit of the game was downloaded via torrent, then in principle there can be no guarantees of work. Torrents and repacks are almost never updated through official applications and do not work over the network, because in the course of hacking, hackers cut out all network functions from games that are often used to verify licenses.

Using such versions of games is not only inconvenient, but even dangerous, because very often many files are changed in them. For example, pirates modify an EXE file to bypass protection. At the same time, no one knows what else they are doing with it. Perhaps they are embedding self-executing software. For example, which, when the game is first launched, will integrate into the system and use its resources to ensure the welfare of hackers. Or, giving access to the computer to third parties. There are no guarantees here and cannot be.

In addition, the use of pirated versions is, according to our publication, theft. The developers have spent a lot of time creating the game, investing their own funds in the hope that their creation will pay off. And every work must be paid.

Therefore, if you encounter any problems with games downloaded from torrents or hacked using one or another means, you should immediately remove the "pirate", clean your computer with antivirus and a licensed copy of the game. This will not only save you from questionable software, but also allow you to download updates for the game and receive official support from its creators.

Impact Winter throws an error about a missing DLL file. Solution

As a rule, problems associated with missing DLLs occur when Impact Winter starts, but sometimes the game can access certain DLLs in the process and, not finding them, crash in the most insolent way.

To fix this error, you need to find the DLL you need and install it on your system. The easiest way to do this is with the program DLL-fixer, which scans the system and helps to quickly find missing libraries.

If your problem turned out to be more specific, or the method described in this article did not help, then you can ask other users in our "" section. They will help you promptly!

We thank you for your attention!

Eternal winter is by no means a new scenario of post-apocalypse. The remnants of humanity freezing to death, icy skyscrapers, a kilometer-long layer of snow and an almost complete lack of food - we have seen all this before. This story is also frightening because it may well become a reality. And the likelihood of this is not as small as a zombie uprising.

In Impact Winter, the entire planet froze over. It was not people who were to blame for this, but the meteorite. The events of the game begin with the fact that a group of survivors receives a signal from a rescue group, which promises to come for them in a couple of months. There is hope, and you and your comrades should definitely take advantage of it.

At its core, Impact Winter is a traditional survival game. There is a group of people, each with their own specialization. They settled in the old church - the tallest building in the area. Due to its height, the church remained the only structure sticking out above the surface of the snow cover. She will serve you as a shelter and base from which you will get out. The goals are traditional: not to let your wards die of hunger and thirst, get depressed or freeze.

The game looks very nice: the "insides" of the church are very atmospheric. But you go outside - some roofs of buildings and dungeons.

There are a lot of parameters to monitor. Every day you need to deal with the distribution of food and water, look for fuel for a fire, give out medicines from a limited supply. Unfortunately, this is where the game gets into serious trouble. So, your comrades absolutely do not know how to act independently. Everyone needs to put the ration in the inventory with their own hands, otherwise the character himself will never go to the warehouse to look for food. Team members will quickly perish without you. But you need to remember that it is you who will have to run after resources, and the risks are greater for you than for those who stay at home.

Yes, you can send team members to certain tasks, but they will bring in random materials. Only you will be engaged in purposeful searches. And this is somewhat frustrating. It seems that you are running a kindergarten, and not professionals tested by natural selection.

It is also upsetting that they can in no way protect your base from thefts that occur during your absence on a regular basis. Only a safe will help to cope with thefts. And in general, the church can be well settled by building a stove, new beds, and a water treatment plant. True, no one explains why you can't just melt the snow and everyone strives to die of thirst.

In general, the explanations in Impact Winter are pretty bad. There is no plot as such. The scraps of information obtained in the course of exploring the world give very meager answers. Along the way, you will receive new levels, thanks to which the time for the arrival of the rescue team will be reduced. This will happen thanks to the flying assistant bot, which will also serve as a flashlight, scanner and drill. Apparently, everything happens in the near future, since everything else is usual.

What's more annoying is the terrifying monotony. For example, you have an amazingly small inventory, and you have to run to the same point very often in order to take home even the most important things. That is, realistic, of course, but sometimes realism should be omitted for the sake of convenience. In addition, the game does not communicate in any way what is really valuable and what is not. You can collect seemingly significant items, and then they will be useful exclusively for kindling a fire.

Outside the base, you will encounter other survivors. These can be both ordinary hungry people, and a local group prowling around the district in search of artifacts of the recent past.

But the main problem with Impact Winter is bugs. For example, sometimes you simply cannot select an item in the inventory with the mouse. It happens that all the textures just disappear, and then you will definitely have no time for problems with the interface. Sometimes there are problems with animation. It can take a long time to list bugs, but it is pointless. It is enough to know that they really interfere with the enjoyment of the game.

Of course, Impact Winter has its pluses: atmosphere, good music, cute characters and an attractive setting. But they are drowning in a pile of flaws.

Impact Winter

Reviewed Game: PC

Pros:

  • Atmosphere.
  • Nice music.
  • Setting.

Minuses:

  • Bugs.
  • Lean plot.
  • Helpless characters.
  • Monotony.

Grade: 3.5

Verdict: a game with great, but almost completely killed potential.

If Impact Winter crashes to the desktop, check that the game was installed correctly, as well as updates, patches and other add-ons. Perhaps the previous update itself contains certain errors. There is already little that depends on the gamer, all the questions are for the developers. Reinstall the updates received if necessary. If it does not help, download other distributions of add-ons and reinstall, removing the old ones.

Impact Winter crashes

Has the game installed normally? There were no problems, mistakes? If during the installation process there were errors, even small ones, it is quite possible that in the future the game will slow down, lags and other errors are not excluded.

Impact Winter slows down due to unnecessary processes

If Impact Winter lags, check the operating system load. By itself, any game requires significant resources to play and work correctly. Impact Winter is no exception. If in this moment other processes are running in the system, you need to check and determine how important they are now.

Close all unnecessary processes and leave only the really necessary ones. But do not overdo it, otherwise you can close everything in the world so that the computer itself just stands up.

Impact Winter slows down due to poor internet

Another point is internet access. If the game requires a good high-speed Internet, then the problem is obvious. Get a more powerful plan. But there are situations when even with good internet, Impact Winter slows down. For example, at a certain moment, an update of an application on a computer began, for example, an antivirus, not to mention if movies are being downloaded along with the game. Or have you watched videos like Impact Winter walkthrough and played the game at the same time !? Thus, anything will slow down here. Decide - one thing: either a movie or a game. If both are needed, then at least the computer must have "thermonuclear" properties. Do you understand what I'm talking about!?

Impact Winter freezes

Graphics card issue in Impact Winter

Cause of many freezing computer games, including Impact Winter, is a graphics card that does not meet its minimum requirements. For gamers, it is the video card that is the main tool, the main success or disappointment. If your video card is weak, then no updates, no drivers, etc. will help you.

In order to maximize the effect and enjoy the game, it would be wise to consider purchasing a more modern, more powerful video card. The disadvantage of this method can be significant financial costs, since high-quality graphics and playing at maximum settings are not cheap pleasure, and buying a good video card is a tidy sum.

Installing and updating the video card driver

But don't despair. In order for the game to run more or less well on the computer, you can solve the problem even with a regular average video card, you can configure it, and also check all the necessary computer parameters to ensure comfortable work... If the video card is more or less modern, then a prerequisite is the availability of the latest drivers. Fortunately, you can download and install them completely free of charge from the manufacturer's official website.

After installing the drivers, as a rule, if you have an AMD or nVidia video card, then special software is loaded with them, which is installed on the computer, and thanks to which, you can control various game settings.

Impact Winter black screen

If it happens that Impact Winter gives a black screen, the problem is with the video card. Check the drivers again, download and install the latest ones from the official website. If the manufacturer has released more than new version, do not be lazy to waste time - update the video card driver.

A black screen is not always the cause of a malfunctioning video card. There is a program that every game needs - DirectX. Impact Winter shouldn't work at all without this app. But, as often happens, everything you need seems to be installed, but does not work. Viruses worked on the computer, they themselves accidentally deleted something. Anything can be. You need to check. Reinstall if necessary. I'm talking about DirectX and similar programs.

Impact Winter how to increase fps

Customizing Graphics in Impact Winter

High fps is something that is so often lacking in a game. If you are one of these users, using the maximum graphic settings can greatly affect the FPS and provoke various lags, slowdowns, freezes. On the other hand, if you reduce the graphics settings as much as possible, you can significantly increase the FPS. By the way, you can control the graphics settings not only in the game itself, but also in the software of your video card.

The harsh conditions of survival as the basis for a setting rarely bode well for adventure and fun. This is for those who want something atmospheric, stressful. In the best cases, the developers manage to find an acceptable compromise between stress and more or less relaxing, addictive gameplay. But the authors of Impact Winter didn't care about trying to achieve this effect, they just took and made a survival simulator with almost no game. "Give up hope, everyone who enters here," as they say.

Impact Winter is definitely very atmospheric. While playing the broken beta version a few months ago, I noticed a scanty but mesmerizing soundtrack back then. An alarming and accurate piano in the appropriate arrangement tunes in the best mood, and the melody itself is, in principle, easy to remember. In addition, the developers know how to present their game in trailers and an opening video. The very case when you immediately want to plunge into virtual world and "live" a little in it. But in reality this is not enough.

At the beginning, your hero Jacob has already become the leader of a "pack" of four people and must keep them safe and sound for 30 conditional days. All around there is a harsh winter and snowdrifts, buildings rest under a layer of snow, fuel is difficult to find, food is even more difficult. Your survivors are huddled in the church, each trying to help with their skills and speed up the arrival of help. Someone is tinkering, someone is cooking, someone is fumbling in survival and hunting, and someone is pumping the robot assistant Ako-Light, which has caught the signal of the rescue group. Impact Winter uses an amusing system that involves reducing the time until the arrival of the rescue team by completing tasks. Allegedly, the robot strengthens the signal reception while traveling with Jacob. Trust me, you will really want to take advantage of this feature and stop everything quickly.

Survival requires keeping the church warm and constantly looking for food. The problem is that you almost never know in advance what you will find on the next outing. There is some kind of approximate map, but it does not help - you still have to go at random. If personal quests supplied the hero and his team with everything they need, there would be no questions, but the game forces you to constantly risk the accumulated progress and go on distant forays. Resources are always scarce, therefore, if you wander in the wrong place, returning, you can find a serious conflict or a completely empty corner of one of the survivors (escaped, bastard, taking all the food and water). With such consequences, it is practically useless to survive further (you can try to find a fugitive in the snow, but time is too expensive). Successfully completing Impact Winter will take a lot of trial and error to figure out where everything is.

These attempts will not be the most fun. The world around is practically empty, and most of the time you will have to spend moving your feet through the snowdrifts. Traveling is atmospheric, but the further, the more boring they will be. Yes, sometimes there are side quests, but they are tiny, empty. Nothing interesting awaits inside the abandoned buildings either, only constant thoughts of an overflowing backpack. The problem is that the most valuable, needed and critical upgrades are too far from the starting line. Just imagine that your wards cannot even eat something that you did not put in their personal box from the general as a daily ration. They returned later than a day later - famine began. Either you know where to go, spend your time efficiently on outings and bring and distribute food on time, or you have a very important upgrade for Ako-Light that allows you to give directions over the radio.

Impact Winter sometimes gives hints of better life by building a little mystery around the player. But this is too little. You still imagine the most interesting thing. And in general, the entire accessible territory does not seem to have any sources of information from outside. It is clear that remote signals are lost in the fierce snowfall, but the player is generally not given any information about outside world... What happened in other cities, how people live now, what kind of rescuers are going to arrive - nothing. Even the ending, which should, in theory, reveal some cards, takes only a few seconds. So why suffer? For the questionable value of the process itself? Once again, someone might like it, it is more or less harsh and somewhat more realistic than the competition, but still not adapted to give players an interesting and fair gameplay. And above there was not a word about the combat system and shooting. Yes, this is practically not! There is some kind of barely working skeleton of the simplest bitemap. After the first skirmish, the desire to show any heroism disappears, it is better to quietly and peacefully ransack the abandoned buildings.

Despite all the inconveniences, I want to return to Impact Winter, because in theory it is interesting to survive here. I would like to climb everything, see everything, make everything, open everything. But nothing works, and the game instead makes you suffer without the desire to stick to the end. Honestly, it would be better to come up with a tourist mode than a hardcore mode without saving. Only the same soundtrack and a decent lighting system can be unambiguously praised - at night the Ako-Light “headlights” look impressive. But otherwise Impact Winter reproduces its own setting either too meticulously or too conditionally. And the player still suffers.

If a person is cold, then he will do anything to return the usual comfort and hot water... To keep his house connected to the electricity and water supply, he can even go to work. Well, or start making games if you absolutely can't. And then how lucky: either he will become a famous indie innovator, or his brainchild will not even pass Steam Greenlight and will be forgotten forever. As the authors of Conan Exiles proved to us, in order to become famous and make money without any effort, you need to make a "survivalist" - a craft game where graphics and manufacturability do not matter. The main thing is that there is a collection of resources and the creation of items (and long flaccid penises, if the physics engine allows). Optimization, original idea, nice appearance? Who needs it ?! For example, the creators of ARK: Survival Evolved concocted their creation in such a way that for most players it does not start at all, while for the rest it comes with 10 FPS. Fixing this is time to waste, so they rivet paid add-ons. Great, isn't it? So the developers from Mojo Bones realized that making simple puzzles is not as profitable as buggy "survivors", and began to do good under the name Impact Winter. They reacted to the task, so to speak, with soul and understanding of the matter: there is a collection of resources, there is craft, there is an enchanting number of bugs and shortcomings. Why, then, is the long-awaited success not knocking on their doors? Let's try to answer this question together.

The goal of Impact Winter is the survival of the protagonist and his group during the conditional thirty days in the world, where a small snow apocalypse happened. Five characters took refuge in an old church and are waiting for help. There is a scientist who has assembled a robot from a ready-made base to help the protagonist look for supplies, there is a woman who prepares all kinds of food, there is a craftsman who makes useful camping items and hunting means, and there is a girl who is engaged in the technical arrangement of the church for a more comfortable survival in it. Any of the members of your "gang" is a full-fledged character, he needs to be fed and watered, and therefore, you will have to distribute food between them. As you develop, you will be able to teach your assistants all sorts of useful things, such as getting more rest while sleeping or not breaking your fingers at work. They can also be sent to collect resources or craft. To top it off, each has a specific storyline for finding and obtaining items to make running around the area a little more fun and meaningful.

Is it really fun? Not at all. The location is snowy, which means that the hero will move around the territory at the speed of a sleepy hard worker, who was driven to work at six in the morning on Sunday. To the accompaniment of meditative music, he will start a two-three-minute run across an empty white area, find a house, fill up his ultra-small inventory in ten seconds and run back to the same meditative music. And so it will be repeated about fifty times until the very end of the game, only the distances will grow.

And the objects that can be found in various houses and caves scattered around the area are apparently invisible. Tubes, springs, fabrics, cans ... something will do for crafting, something for a stove, and the average player-collector will not leave anything just like that. He will move back and forth with the tenacity of a snail, collecting everything that is not nailed down. There is not much sense from this, most things will never come in handy. The ones needed for crafting are marked with a special marker, and besides them, the essentials can only be food and drink. Residents, as a rule, look for boards for kindling the main fire themselves when you send them on instant tasks, and everything else will only make the passage more boring.

For balance, the authors decided to add "fun" to the gameplay. At any time, one of the four main quests can get bugged and become impossible. At any time, the inventory can fail, not allowing you to clear yourself of trash. At any time, your hero can get stuck in the textures of the snow and die. At any time, the game can simply delete your saves. In addition, at the time of this writing, contrary to the assurances of the developers, she has not learned to support the keyboard and is ready again and again to provide the protagonist with dancing around the key object without the ability to take it: you cannot click on the desired thing from the gamepad, and the use of the object is not always visible and the dialog button does not work intermittently. The passability of the game tends to zero.

Perhaps only the fastest and sharpest will be able to overcome Impact Winter. To survive, you do not need to patiently wait all thirty days, it is enough to complete tasks (until they fail) and accumulate experience. For quests and levelups you will be "cut off", and as a result, the heroes will remain in captivity not for a month, but for a couple of weeks. Thanks for that too. Thank you that the number of bugs here is exactly such that the players have a tiny chance to complete the game to the end and not go crazy. Thanks for downloading here in minutes, not hours. Thank you that the developers do not offer to buy patches as DLC (at least not yet).

But no matter how much you thank the game, the result will remain the same - it does not want you to play it. By hook or by crook, she will push you out of herself, each time sending unplanned technical surprises or banal boredom to meet potential adventurers. There is a chance that your stay in it will be limited to a couple of hours, after which Impact Winter will fly away from the hard drive or go through a refund system. This is exactly the case when the "early access" project was vital, but it was not used. Instead, the authors brushed aside the phrase of the well-known cartoon character: "And so it will do!"
