There are still a couple of packs of crab meat left over from the New Year, so the good stuff won’t go to waste. I decided to make a salad. In general, I don’t know where this salad came from in our family. My mother still cooks according to the recipe, which I will present to you now. The first thing we do is cut the crab meat. I cut it into large pieces and consider this ingredient to be the highlight of the salad. Agree, it’s nothing but a highlight. I remember the words of Kabzon, in one of the culinary shows, he said that salads need to be cut quickly and large. For me, a lazy person, these words resonated with me.

My mother gave me two three-liter jars of pickled cucumbers and now these same cucumbers go into all dishes. So, we cut a couple of pickles there too.

Cucumbers can be cut smaller than crab meat, they are still salty and need to be properly distributed over the salad. Next, cut the onion, cut it as you are used to. I cut the onion into small cubes.

Onions also go into the salad. We also crumble the boiled egg and add it to the salad. Season the salad generously with mayonnaise and mix.

Salt should be added to taste, the finished salad can be decorated with fresh herbs. Pickles can, if desired, be replaced with fresh ones and enjoy your meal.

Today there are many recipes for crab salads. In addition to crab sticks, corn and eggs, as provided in the traditional version, they use fresh cucumbers, rice and other products.   • crab sticks – 270 g;
  • eggs – 2 pcs.;
  • cheese – 60 g;
  • corn in a jar – 200 g;
  • pickled cucumbers – 2 pcs.;
  • mayonnaise.

Ingredients that, at first glance, do not combine at all, on the contrary, successfully complement each other. It is not necessary to take pickled cucumbers; they can be pickled. There is no need to add salt to the salad, since it is contained in sufficient quantities in the products used.

How to prepare a salad with crab sticks and pickled cucumber

Crab salad with pickled cucumber is easy and simple to prepare. Moreover, the whole process will not take much time. After 15-20 minutes the dish will be on the table.
A step-by-step recipe with photos is presented below:

  1. If the crab sticks are frozen, defrost them slightly and then chop them into cubes. It is advisable to use a simply chilled product that has not been pre-frozen. Usually these crab sticks are juicier.

  1. Boil the eggs, and when they have cooled, peel and cut into cubes.

  1. Chop the pickled cucumbers into cubes.

  1. Remove excess liquid from can of corn.

  1. Grind the hard cheese on a grater.

  1. Pour all ingredients into a salad bowl. Add the required amount of mayonnaise and stir thoroughly again.

It is better to make this salad shortly before eating, as it may “leak”. You can serve it in tartlets or directly in a salad bowl, garnished with herbs.

I really love crab sticks and, naturally, I love. That's why I often prepare such salads. Sometimes I use recipes found in books or on the Internet, but it also happens that I come up with a recipe out of my head based on what products are in the refrigerator. So this time I looked into the refrigerator and found there several boiled chicken eggs left over from the evening and jacket potatoes. There were also canned green peas, pickles and, of course, crab sticks. I decided to combine these ingredients, seasoned them with mayonnaise and it turned out. It’s just a pity that the portion was too small and was eaten very quickly by the household.

Ingredients:

- one hundred and fifty grams of canned green peas;
- seven crab sticks;
- three pickled cucumbers;
- three hard-boiled eggs;
- two large potatoes, boiled in their jackets;
- mayonnaise;
- salt.


Step-by-step recipe with photos:





Open the jar of peas, drain the water and pour the peas into a deep bowl.




Dice the pickles and place them in a bowl with the green peas.





Completely melted crab sticks should be cut into cubes and placed in a bowl.





Remove the skins from the potatoes and cut them into cubes, and then place them in a bowl with the other chopped ingredients and green peas.







Remove the shells from the eggs and cut them into cubes, then place the eggs in a bowl and salt the ingredients to your taste. For this salad with pickles and crab sticks, eggs need to be boiled for ten minutes (after the water boils) in heavily salted water.





Mix the crushed products with salt well in a bowl, add mayonnaise and mix again.

This recipe is one of the simplest. Imagine that you have guests on the doorstep, you need to quickly set the table. And you have crab sticks and a can of canned corn. Well, I think it’s not difficult to find cucumbers and eggs in the refrigerator. And in literally 10 minutes a hearty and very tasty salad is born that you can feed your guests.

We will need:

  • crab sticks - 250 gr.
  • chicken eggs - 3-4 pcs.
  • fresh cucumber - 1 - 2 pcs.
  • green onions - 2-3 stalks
  • fresh dill - bunch
  • salt, pepper - to taste
  • mayonnaise - 4 tbsp. l.
  1. We remove the crab sticks from the protective film and cut them into cubes.

For unexpected guests, crab sticks can be bought in advance and frozen. Before cooking, simply rinse them with hot water.

2. Chop a couple of green onions. Do not overdo it with onions, otherwise the salad will turn out bitter. You need very little onion for a hint of flavor. Fresh dill gives the salad a special flavor. In winter, if I don’t have fresh dill on hand, I add frozen. Add greens to crab sticks.

3. Boil the eggs, peel, cut into cubes and also add to the salad.

4. Place the finished canned corn in the salad.

We will need:

  • crab sticks - 400 gr.
  • chicken eggs - 5 pcs.
  • rice - 1/2 cup
  • fresh cucumber - 1 - 2 pcs.
  • salt, pepper - to taste
  • mayonnaise - 4 tbsp. l.
  1. How beautiful boiled country eggs, which have a real yellow yolk, look in a salad! Boil the eggs for the salad and cool under cold water. Then cut the eggs into small cubes.
  2. Boil the rice in salted water until tender, drain the water, and let the rice cool.
  3. Cut crab sticks into cubes. Here whoever likes it. I saw different ways of cutting ingredients into a salad - both small and large pieces. I prefer to cut it smaller.
  4. Cut fresh cucumber into small cubes.
  5. Place crab sticks, eggs, boiled rice, and cucumber in a salad bowl. Add a can of canned corn.

We will need:

  • crab sticks - 250 gr.
  • rice - 1/2 cup
  • canned corn - 1 can
  • fresh cucumber - 1 - 2 pcs.
  • pickled cucumber - 1-2 pcs.
  • bell pepper - 1 pc.
  • green onions - a few feathers
  • salt, pepper - to taste
  • mayonnaise - 4 tbsp. l.

1. Chop the crab sticks finely and place in a salad bowl.

2. Boil the rice in salted water until tender and cool. Add rice to crab sticks.

3. Bell pepper not only adds brightness to this salad, but also juiciness. Cut it into small cubes.

Nothing extra in this salad. Cheese is probably needed here to give this amazing salad tenderness. So let’s call the salad “Tenderness”. It's very easy to prepare.

We will need:

  • crab sticks - 200 gr.
  • canned corn - 1/2 can
  • fresh cucumbers - 2 pcs.
  • boiled eggs - 3 pcs.
  • hard cheese - 150 gr.
  • salt, pepper - to taste
  • mayonnaise

  1. Cut all the ingredients for this salad into small cubes. Of course, we boil the eggs first.

2. We will place the salad on a flat plate in layers. Place the first layer of fresh cucumber. We make a mesh of mayonnaise on top or just grease this layer a little.

3. The next layer is crab sticks and again we make a mayonnaise mesh.

4. Grate the boiled eggs on a coarse grater, place on a plate and add a little salt. Grease a little with mayonnaise again.

5. Grate the cheese in the next layer, and place the corn tightly on top.

6. Decorate the top of the salad with a mayonnaise mesh. You can insert a decoration of greenery or cucumber into the middle.

If you have frozen crab sticks, you need to remove them from the refrigerator in advance so that they thaw. Remove them from the packages, set one aside for decoration, and cut the rest into smaller pieces. Sprinkle with ground pepper, salt, add mayonnaise.


Stir.


Place the finished salad in portions on plates. If you want it to look like mine, use a medium-sized serving ring.

Grate the yolk and sprinkle it on top of the salad. Cut the reserved crab stick diagonally and decorate the top and sides of the salad.

It turned out to be a very unusual holiday treat.
