If the pump does not turn on when voltage is applied, then the reason most often lies in the failure of the electromagnet winding. It is quite possible to rewind and reanimate the unit. Quite often, another type of breakdown occurs, in which the pump hums, but does not pump water. In this case, the reason lies in the wear of the valves or diaphragm.
