For baking apples, it is best to take sour varieties, such as Antonovka, although this point is not critical. You should also take into account that early varieties of apples with thin skins are more likely to burst in the oven and their texture after baking, mmm... is not an acquired taste. Therefore, autumn apples are preferable.

The technology for preparing baked apples is incredibly simple, but if you are not looking for easy ways, then you can definitely complicate this technology by adding exotic personally chopped mixtures of nuts, berries, cottage cheese, etc., etc. - all in your hands.

To prepare baked apples we will need:

  • 4-6 apples (any quantity, at your discretion - I just fit a maximum of 6 antonovkas into my baking dish)
  • A little honey at the rate of ½ or 1 full teaspoon for each apple
  • A packet of vanilla sugar (optional, but I add it)

Baked apples in the oven, recipe:

We light the oven - by the time the apples are placed in it, it should be preheated to 180 degrees, as usual.

Wash the apples, cut out the center of the apple from the side of the stalk, along with the seeds, without reaching the bottom with a knife (remove the so-called “orgyzok”). I don’t cut through the apples; they turn out like airtight pots.
